The beauty of soft shell is it's versatility and it's no different for the Apex Bionic gloves.  The North Face's Apex ClimateBlock soft shell blocks 100% of the wind. Add fleece lining for warmth, and you've got a good set-up.  We wouldn't go as far as to say the gloves are waterproof as the seams are not sealed, but the DWR coating will give them a degree of rain protection.  Perfect for urban environments where they are sleek and stylish, yet will love an outing to the Australian Alps for bout of Spring skiing.
