The women's Aconcagua is a beautifully styled urban down jacket.  The satin finish to the face fabric adds that element of chic for the town environment.  If you are headed up to the snow, then the Acon will be in it's element, especially for those apres ski festivities.  Treated with a DWR finish gives it a light water resistance but you wouldn't want to be caught out in a heavy downpour without a waterproof layer.  Very popular warm insulated jacket.  If you truly feel the cold though, you may need to go for something with more puff, like the Nuptse or Helicity jacket.
