What GearGuys say: Okay, so you're on the road to no where.  A hard core traveller.  Who's know's what the road is actually going to be like when you get there?  Can you wheel your deluxe Osprey Merdian travel pack or more likely, will you have to lump it on your back?  Chances are, since no one's been there, we reckon the roads are not that good.  No worries, zip our the harness and hipbelt, shoulder up and hike.  The beauty of a well designed travel pack is that it's versatile and Osprey have absolutely nailed this design. The pack has a beautifully clean design - no unnecessary bits and pieces hanging off it.  Looks smart.  When you open it up, everything has a reason for being.  Internal mesh pockets for organisation and a handy liquids/accessory pocket.  Compression straps allow you to actually close your bag when you've stuffed way too much in.  The main compartment has lockable zips which are essential these days.  Look, you name it, it's got it, but here's what you really need to know about a pack like this; It's tough.  Good travel packs have to be tough. If you have to carry it, it's comfortable to carry. It looks great. The best travellers can apparrently discern good value.  The GearGuys have been around the block a few times and we collectively think the Meridian represents a great value travel pack that will give you years and years of excellent service until you finally reach no where.
