The Paramount fabric is a slightly heavier fabric than that used in the Horizon styles, so more appropriate for temperate to cool travel conditions. The pants have a fitted waist, belt loops and an internal draw cord giving a good fit. With three choices of leg length, you've got all conditions sorted. Roll up to three quarter length for a nice breezy feel but when it it really starts to cook, zip off the legs and convert the pants to mid thigh length shorts. With a DWR treatment to the fabric, water beads nicley off your pants getting you through a light unexepected shower.
