The Cipher in sleeveless form is a great layering item but also works well as an outer layer in its own right.
The Windstopper fabric is light but also importantly blocks 100% of wind to eliminate those chilling breezes.
The Apex fabric down the sides is incredibly stretch which will increase your freedom of movement, it also is not completely wind-proof which increases breathability where you need it.
The large pockets will keep your gear close at hand and they are set higher up so if you are wearing a harness they shant get in the way.
