A quick history lesson for you all. In 1974 The North Face first developed the VE-24 tent which was derived from R. Buckminter Fuller's research and theory of Sphericity or 'maximum efficiency with minimum materials'. And so a legend was born.
Pure design is an absolutely beautiful thing. In our modern day world when items, concepts, theories are re-designed and re-defined at such a rapid rate, always striving for continual improvement, it is absolutely unbelievable to find a design (in a highly technical field) that has lasted over 30 years.
I would hazard a guess that this tent has accompanied more mountaineering expeditions than any other tent ever manufactured. It has been trusted and tested well above the snowline since it was first manufactured and is a truly fantastic tent.
Whether you are looking for a shelter for your next expedition or just need a tent to haul around on a backcountry ski trip then you should seriously consider a VE-25. It is the ultimate luxury after you have been hard at it out on the hill. Plenty of room for you, friends and gear and you are guaranteed to sleep soundly in this impenetrable shelter. The VE-25 is definately not a tent that will disappoint.
An original expedition icon.
