In 1990 Tim Macartney-Snape realized no one had truly climbed the entire 8,848 meters of Mt Everest from "sea to summit". In the spring of that year, Tim set off on foot from India's Bay of Bengal and four months later he set foot once again on the highest point on earth.
Upon returning Tim joined forces with a climbing friend to create truly ingenious, well-made but affordable outdoor equipment. Today the Sea to Summit brand continues to distribute high quality outdoor, backpacking and travel products and accessories all over the world.
