The Gold Kazoo could also be called the "just under a kilo bag". At 994g for the standard length, you have a terrifically light down bag for backpacking and adventuring in mild conditions. GearGuys have found The North Face® temperature ratings to be closer to survival ratings than comfort ratings, so the -1°C Kilo bag temperature rating is probably closer to a +6 or 7°C comfort rating. Temperature ratings do tend to be very controversial at the best of times and it becomes a very personal thing at the end of the day.
